However, we suggest you to check with the parents and find out if any of the invitees are allergic to certain food.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces of macaroni shells
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen peas
  • 1 medium head cauliflower, stem removed and broken into florets
  • 3 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 13 ounces of coconut milk
  • 2 teaspoon mace
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • Grafted fresh nutmeg
  • Paprika and chili powder (if desired)

How To Prepare

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degree Fahrenheit.
  • Boil 3-4 liters of water in an open pan, add the macaroni and cook as per the instructions mentioned on the package.
  • Remove from heat, drain the water, and run the macaroni under cold water to prevent them from sticking together.
  • Boil the peas for 1 to 2 minutes and drain immediately. Run them under cold water for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Pour water in a pot and place a metal steamer inside. Place the cauliflower florets on the steamer, cover with a lid, and cook over medium heat until the florets turn soft.
  • Remove the cauliflower from the streamer and blend them with required quantity of warm water to make a smooth puree.
  • Place a dry pan on the stove over medium to low heat, add the butter, and when the butter is completely melted, whisk in the flour. Cook for 2 to 5 minutes.
  • When the roux turns light brown, add coconut milk, and whisk until the mixture starts thickening. This will take at least 5 minutes. Add the cauliflower puree, mace, garlic powder, and white pepper and whisk until the sauce becomes smooth. Cook for 5 minutes whisking occasionally.
  • Remove from the heat and mix the boiled macaroni and pea mixture.
  • Garnish with nutmeg, paprika and chili powder.
  • You may bake this mixture in the oven for 30 minute by turning the broiler to high in order to give a crispy taste to this dish.
This dish is perfect for kids as well as adults. You can experiment with the garnishing to achieve the taste that your child and his guests would like such as oregano, garlic flakes, onion flakes, etc.

NASCAR Party Planning Ideas

Boys love race cars and attending NASCAR races. If your little boy’s birthday is arriving soon, NASCAR is a perfect theme to organize an action-filled birthday party for your sports star. But, when it comes to planning a NASCAR theme based birthday party, many hosts wonder how they can get started. Here are some great ideas for planning a successful NASCAR birthday party for your little hero.

Invitations

Invitation flags - Print out the party details on black/white checkered scrapbook paper and send them to your guests.

Personalized driver's license invitations -  You can easily make a driver’s license on a scrapbook paper by pasting your picture and mentioning the party information.

Tracks invitation - On plain note cards with a matte finish, make track marks across the front by dipping the wheels of a toy car into black acrylic paint and rolling it over the front of the invitation. Write down the party details on the other side of the card.

Decorations

To surprise your guests with an amazing NASCAR theme party, you need to give a racetrack feel to your venue. Cover the centre table with black and white checkered cloth. Have a few toy cars around on table. Cover all other tables and buffets with NASCAR table covers so that you stay with the theme.
You can also make balloon bunches in your team's colors and anchor them around your party area. A race car pinata will make a great decoration and can also be used for an activity later.

Food

Make your own cake in the shape of a car or have a square cake with black/white checkered top.
There is an array of snacks you can include in your NASCAR party such as Oreos, Cheese Nips, M&Ms, Snickers, Ritz and Wheat Thins. For an extra special touch, place these items out on a table labeled "pit stop”.

Party games

The party cannot be over without playing some really exciting games.

Hula hoop race - In this game, one by one team members will have to roll a hula hoop around the track.

Balancing the tire -  Kids will have to balance a plastic tire or steering wheel cover on their heads. It will surely be great fun. But, you need to instruct them properly.

Sleepover Party Activities for Teen Girls

Many parents feel that their teenage girls should not attend sleepover parties, as these parties are not safe. However if these are parties are arranged properly at safe places, especially at the host’s house, these can be very successful. You, as a parent, can know more about your daughter’s friends through these parties. You can make out whether your daughter is in a bad or a good company. You can bond with her friends in a better way. So, let’s discuss how you can arrange sleepover parties for your teen girl and what activities can be included in these types of parties: -
  1. Movies – You can arrange an interesting movie that the girls can watch after dinner. Make your hall a home theatre, arrange for a big screen and projector, switch off all the lights and start the movie. Keep some snacks and cold drinks ready to be eaten during the movie time. Do not arrange for scary movies, as this might scare the young girls. Also, do not allow them to watch movies for long, as this will make the party boring.
  1. Fashion Show – Organize a fashion show at home. Arrange for a nice music and some lights. Tell the girls to bring some of their beautiful dresses for the show. The girls will have to wear those dresses one by one and walk as if they are on the ramp. You can be a judge at the show and give away the gifts to those girls who are able to carry their dresses best. Be fair and award something to everyone.
  1. Makeover sessions– Have a home facial session with the girls. Arrange manicure and pedicure supplies and have someone to offer these services. Have some bright nail paints for them. A head massage is sure to relax them.
In the morning, provide good, home-cooked breakfast. Either you can prepare the food for them or have them prepare the breakfast for themselves under your guidance. This will be a fun learning activity for them.
